Best Time of Day:
The best time of day for me is quitting time (Miller Time).
To be honest, any time of the day is good with me. As long as I am enjoying the moment, that's all that matters and that's most of the time.
All Time Favourite CD:
Tough question.
That's like asking the beer store what flavours they have. In my musical collection, I have many favourites. I feel that there is only two types of music - good music and bad music. It all depends on the mood for me. One minute it could be The Doobie Brothers; The Captain And Me, or Captain Fantastic from Elton John to Captain Beeheart or Captain Sensible, the old lead singer from The Damned.
Depeche Mode is a great band and Danny Elfman is brillain with or without the band Oingo Boingo. The new bands, I'm kinda into are the new British Invasion Like The Arctic Monkeys, The Presets, The Bravery, Jet, B.R.M.C. and too many others to mention.
Pet Peeve:
Political correctness. When did the world get so stuffy and blank retentive?
Life is too short.
Favourite Movie:
Another tough question.
I like the Disney formula - anything that Disney brings to the big screen.
Nickname:
My nickname has changed over the years and depending on the situation may bring new ones.
Some call me 'old man'. Others call me 'whitey, snowflake, to bo" or words we cannot print on this web space.
Favourite Book:
My little black book.
If I Were Not In Radio, What Would I Be Doing:
Radio was something I've wanted to do since I was young.
Some people dream of being a hockey player or rock star. Singing into the hair dryer, I was the same as you. We bought an electric guitar when I was 8 and I learned, Smoke On The Water. By the age of 8, my parent's wished I had picked up basket weaving rather than the guitar.
Finding by the age of 10 that my guitar career was over because bands like AC/DC and Kiss were stealing all my riffs and making millions, I was forced to find a new career. By the age of 30, I gave up my paper route, moved out of my parents home and went to school for radio in Belleville, Ontario.
The ride has been one great memory after another.
To trade this in for something else.... mmmmmm...... I think the only thing that I could do would be to trade my headphones in and move to a poverty stricken country and help feed the hungry.
The Most Embarassing Moment:
We could be here all day writing stories. The question should ask how many times I've inserted both feet.
